The Descendant | Cheapmachines | siji18 | FREE DOWNLOAD
The Descendant The Descendant is based on a reworking of material created during Johann Wlight's residency at Dunwich Beach in 2004. Philip Julian of Cheapmachines was given exclusive access to the dream diaries and study material of Wlight in order to build an estimation of the missing part of The Oneironautic Recrudescence. Though Wlight and Julian were engaged in sporadic postal correspondence before Wlight's disappearance in 2004, the bulk of the original documents and manuscripts came from the Centre for Narcoacoustic Research in London.

pasif perifrastik | pasif perifrastik | siji12 | £ 3.00
pasif perifrastik the big druid performs to the buffalo above, deep in the predawn plasma wells. there are bones there, and fire. the druid's songs are bold, and call the herds hence at once -- a thunderous trampling of cold hard hooves on desert ground. Be wary, but join would you in welcoming please: pasif perifrastik.

what those ingredients are | (os) | siji11 | £ 6.00
what those ingredients are Steve Polta's investigations of various locations around San Francisco, employing cheap mics attached. Plugins, processing and hi-tech are all abandoned, in favour of a world where the boredom of commuting and everyday life is re cast in a visceral journey full of texture, distilled narrative and veiled aggression.

dauswkn | johann wlight | siji10 | FREE DOWNLOAD
dauswkn Maybe this is the fifth or sixth release from an anonymous/unnameable copycat recorder known as johann wlight. it's difficult to pin the music and the person down. in a scene with such limited appeal, it takes a certain abstruseness for wlight to be so wilfully obscure.
New discorporated version available to download

the archduke of the furrycats | J Torrance | siji09 | £ 3.00
the archduke of the furrycats continuing our mystery theme we have a splendid ep from mr j. torrance, a secret release from one of the founding members of the detrit techno scene - mr jonny torrance wows us with his take on melted club music.

freiband rmx | Freiband | siji08X | £ 5.00
freiband rmx Originally released in February 2004 as a black on black cdr, "sijis_rmx" came about as a re-interpretation of sijis back catalogue by Frans de Waard using his Freiband alias. In order to keep the back catalogue available sijis have decided to create an expanded edition for this re-pressing with five new mixes and an unrealeased alternative mix of the original. Keeping within the framework of that TJ Norris called the "beautiful... ghostly shoreline" of Freiband's piece, this release hopes to explore and expand horizons beyond the vague term 'drone'.

sijis_rmx | Freiband | siji08 | £ 3.00
sijis_rmx In his first release for sijis, Freiband (aka Frans de Waard) takes sounds from the sijis back catalogue to construct this delicious 'remix', a complete piece in its own right. Definitely more than the some of its parts.

leaving eden | Scott Taylor | siji07 | £ 6.00
leaving eden Flowing streams, waterfalls, birds, a female incantation echoing in the distance, swelling chords, old 78s, radio broadcasts and sounds from Notre Dame, Paris.

phases | sluggo | siji06 | £ 6.00
phases We are delighted to present the new album from sijis recording artist sluggo. 'Phases' contains two long form pieces constructed using a complex system of overloaded networks. Not simply harmonious outtakes of a chaotic whole, but an unsettling mixture of both tranquillity and dischord.

remixes | fourier | siji05 | £ 3.00
remixes we apologise for the lack of commercial sucess inherent in above releases

Postcard | Scott Taylor | siji04 | £ 3.00
Postcard Needless to say our most spiritual artist, his time spent on on the wrong side of the pop charts has finally paid off as sijis welcomes mr. taylor back [after intensive re-education] into the fold. A stunning ep made by/with a computer that obviously loves him. In the first of a slew of his forthcoming releases, we only hope your total disinterest can slow him down.

completed under duress | sluggo | siji03 | £ 3.00
completed under duress yes it's finally happened. the long-time agent proscrastinateur has finished some tracks he is happy with. Never one to let go, we hope you enjoy these deliciously brutal slices that took us nearly a year to prize out of sluggo's grasp.

not in the lake | mr mutton deluxe | siji02 | £ 3.00
not in the lake mr. deluxe finally bites the bullet and admits with this release that yes, he's a better accordion player than carl craig.

about time | failsafe | siji01 | £ 3.00
about time Everything's great. then suddenly one day you notice it's been nearly ten years since you left the house, let alone went to a club, but the machines are still there, getting smaller every year, looking at you. Sound familiar? of course not, otherwise everybody would have made this wonderful ep. Music for those happiest dancing in a sitting position. you have been warmed.
